The pre-open session takes place from 9:00 to 9:15 am, lasting 15 minutes. This session consists of an order gathering phase followed by an order matching phase. The price range during this session must reflect that of the regular market.

Regular Trading Timings for Trading Equities on NSE

Regular trading hours on the National Stock Exchange are from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm, with no lunch break, making the daily trading session 6 hours and 15 minutes long. There is no pre-market or after-hours trading available on the National Stock Exchange.

Block Deal Session Timings - NSE

  • Session 1: The first block deal window session runs from 8:45 am to 9:00 am.
  • Session 2: The second block deal window session occurs from 2:05 pm to 2:20 pm.
