Role Overview
The General Insurance Sales Manager – Broker Channel will be responsible for driving business growth by developing and managing relationships with insurance brokers and channel partners. The role focuses on expanding the broker network, generating new business across retail and commercial General Insurance products, achieving sales targets, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with underwriting, operations, and claims teams while maintaining compliance with IRDAI regulations and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the General Insurance business.
Key Responsibilities
- - Develop and manage business through the broker channel to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- - Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance brokers, intermediaries, and channel partners.
- - Identify and onboard new brokers to expand the distribution network.
- - Drive sales of General Insurance products, including Motor, Health, Fire, Marine, Engineering, Liability, Property, and Miscellaneous Insurance.
- - Conduct regular meetings, product presentations, and training sessions for brokers to enhance product knowledge and increase business generation.
- - Provide timely quotations, policy servicing, renewals, and claim support in coordination with internal teams.
- - Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify business opportunities.
- - Collaborate with underwriting, operations, and claims teams to ensure seamless customer service.
- - Prepare MIS reports, sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business performance reviews.
- - Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations, company policies, and underwriting guidelines.
- - Drive profitability by maintaining healthy business mix and quality of portfolio.
- - Participate in promotional campaigns, broker engagement programs, and business development initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- - Graduate in any discipline.
- - MBA (Marketing/Finance) or equivalent qualification will be preferred.
- - Insurance certifications (IRDAI, III, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
